The purpose of the Tri-State Youth Orchestra is:
-To provide an organization through which area music students can work together toward the propagation of music performance and awareness.

-To be responsible for giving students of outstanding talent the opportunity to play together in an exceptional orchestral ensemble.

-To provide repertoire of the highest caliber for performance to expose students and audiences to the product of the maters of composition.
